| Source image
Source image enables the author of a Web Gallery to import a copy of the high resolution source image. This allows the viewer of the Web Gallery to click on a button labeled Enlarge to see a larger image. You may want to use this option to show more image detail or to provide a high resolution file suitable for printing.
To enable image enlargement
- In the Step 2: Manage images in this album wizard panel, click image thumbnails to select them.
- Click on the checkbox to enable image enlargement for the selected images.
Attention: Source images are usually high resolution and have large file sizes. Incorporating them in your Web Gallery will impact the time it will take to upload your Web Gallery to a webhost as well as the download time a viewer experiences when clicking on the Enlarge button in your Web Gallery.
Tip: To provide images that your viewers can print, it is best to use images as high in resolution as possible. If you just want to show an image larger than it is displayed in your Web Gallery, 800x600 pixels or 1024x768 pixels may be sufficient. To use a size that is different than the source image size, you will need to resize images in your favorite image editing program and use these resized images as the "source" image in Web Gallery Wizard.
Tip: If you want to provide your viewers the option to see enlargements for any/all of your images, type Ctrl-A to select all images in the album and then enable the image enlargement checkbox.
